It’s not enough to obsess over community feedback (which we do); we also need to surprise and delight you with constant improvements (which we also try and do). Sony Acquires Ericsson’s Stake in Sony Ericsson for $1.47 Billion

Sony Corporation has acquired Ericsson’s stake in mobile phone joint venture Sony Ericsson.
The deal will place Ericsson’s 50% stake in the joint venture under Sony’s control. Sony will also acquire five wireless technology “patent families.” The two companies have also entered into a cross-licensing agreement for their intellectual property.

Samsung scores expedited hearing against Galaxy Tab ban in Australia

Samsung requested the Australian court to fast-track its appeal against the banning of the sale of its Galaxy Tab tablets in the country and it has been approved by the court, according to a Reuters report.

Gorilla Glass has become a standard for durable Android devices. The glass is  insanely hard to crack and nearly impossible to scratch. While Samsung never mentioned anything about the Galaxy Nexus featuring this reinforced glass, we were hoping that it would.

As an engineer I like to solve problems and I like to test stuff, the bigger the better. A couple of months ago I was intrigued by a challenge: Australians have the second highest smartphone penetration in the world (second only to Singapore) but we have one of the lowest usage rates of Google Voice Search. This had some of us scratching our heads, because Google Voice Search understands our Australian accents.
